Here I share my latest work, where I've been, and what's been inspiring me and my family. You're invited to come follow with, so read on friend!
I got a text from my most recent personal branding session client from the East Bay last week! It said,
“My friend said she likes my website, particularly the photos. So thanks again. :)”
Those unsolicited messages are the kinds of things that make my day.
Deana is my most recent Personal Branding client. She is a childbirth educator. It’s exactly what it sounds like. She helps inform first-time moms about the childbirth process. Some of the benefits of childbirth classes are reading fear, increasing confidence, reducing epidural use and C-sections, connecting with your support partner, and building community by meeting other soon to be parents!
My first step in any client consultation is research. I looked up the childbirth educator photos that exist in the world. It’s what you would expect with anatomy models, standing in fluorescent light classrooms, or with young babies.
“I just want something simple to get my website moving. My colors are pink, white, brown, and white.”
During our discussion about her website and vision for the photos, she mentioned the theme of cherry blossoms. The clients would be women potentially with their birth partners. The vision quickly and clearly came together. She texted me some outfit options and I weighed in on which I liked best. She also created an inspiration board so I knew what kind of specific shots she was looking for.
Deana would come to my home studio in Berkeley, and bring her birth aids as props for her photoshoot. We set up a time and the results are below!
The results of any branding session I do are an alchemy of teamwork, their vision, some styling. This is the winning combination I’ve been using to get photos clients love and are excited to share with others.
Now she gets compliments from her friends seeing her website because she has personal branding photos that not only go with her website but ones that also speak to her ideal clients, as a person who has invested in herself and her business.
Here are a few favorites from her session!
Branding and personal branding sessions have been so personally rewarding for me as a fellow small business owner. I know how important these photos can be to a business. To be able to build out your website the way you’ve always envisioned in your mind.
Not only do I get to build relationships with fellow business owners, but I love watching their businesses grow. If you’d like to see how we can grow together, please fill out my contact form! I’d love to do a personal branding session for you in the East Bay when it’s safe to do so!
NOTE: This session was done back in Feb 2020 before the SIP measures took place in the Bay Area.
