Lately, I’ve been focused on Commercial Product photography. It’s something I can do while remaining socially distanced. Items can be shipped to me, so I’m able to do the shoots from my home studio.
Transitional Time for businesses during COVID-19
More people may be reconsidering what type of work they want to do. If their jobs will still be available in a few months, and thinking about forming a small business themselves. Or perhaps you’re already a small business owner that is transitioning into more online products. Whatever the reason, I’m here for you!
I’ve been speaking to current clients about how to transition their businesses to fit the current climate. We’re all getting back to our roots of why we started our businesses! Our whys or roots help us overcome obstacles like supply chain breakdowns, backorders, and allows us to tap into creativity. Paring things down and making things simple again helps focus our efforts. It’s not all doom and gloom if you can find a silver lining.
Social Distanced Product Photoshoot for small business
One of my clients, Figs and Feathers Farm sent me naked soaps without packaging. She’s rethought both her packaging and offerings during this time due to the supply chain constraints. I’m so glad I was able to help her take photos of what her business pivot looks like. While staying true to her brand, offerings, and voice as a creative entrepreneur.
Conclusion
After speaking to fellow small business owners, it’s clear that we are in a transitional time. Both personally and professionally.
It’s ok to pivot, rebrand, restrategize. In fact, I wholeheartedly encourage this if you haven’t done so already! Change your offerings, change your prices if your price of doing business has changed, change your strategy if need be. Most importantly, don’t feel bad about it. Life changes and certainly businesses change!
I would love to help you with your offers in your pivot by helping you with great commercial product photography. Please look around the site to find out more or fill out the Contact page !
